The Flo Manifesto
I'm a singer and songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. I LOVE Music!!! I perform with my soul/funk concoction and we call ourselves "Florelie & the Backlash Brew". We are crazy about Soul, Funk music by the legends Nina Simone, James Brown, Aretha, Stevie just to name a few.
I was born in Manila's worst area, Tondo, and I believe that this is why I can be pretty fierce when put in a situation. We moved to Melbourne in 88 which has actually toned me down a bit. This city is practically heaven compared to Tondo. The day we arrived, I instantly felt at home.

So I’ve just started learning about Photography. Got myself a Canon EOS 7D. I absolutely love it! I have 2 lenses, 17-55mm f/2.8 EFS with image stabiliser and 50mm f/1.4. They’re both pretty awesome. Also just got an external flash so I could learn about flash photography, strobing etc. I still need loads more to be fully functional with the stuff we want to do with our music (videos/cool photoshoots etc).. but I’m seeing the light at the end of this buying tunnel. No shit sherlock but high quality digital photography and video production is definitely not cheap!
